Itinerary Your Bucharest tour will start near Herăstrău Park, to visit “Dimitrie Gusti” National Village Museum. There you will be able to experience an authentic old village, made of representative buildings from important Romanian ethnographic areas, monuments and artifacts, that date back from the beginning of the 17th century to the early 20th century (* in case of bad weather, The Romanian Peasant Museum will be visited instead). Since the Arch of Triumph is close to the museum, your tour guide will provide information about this monument too. As you continue your tour on Victoriei Boulevard, you will be able to stop to admire and learn a few things about the Romanian Athenaeum, the former Royal Palace and the Revolution Square. Then, the group will continue the walking tour on the same Victoriei Boulevard, passing by many buildings built in the first half of the 20th century. Right after, you get to the vibrant Old Town, which has plenty of historical buildings, restaurants, shops, inns and even the ruins of the Old Court, built in the 15th century as residence of medieval princes. After this walk you will have some free time to rest, eat or buy souvenirs. Your last stop of this Bucharest tour is at the Palace of Parliament. This building has a surface area of 365.000 square meters and it is the second largest administrative building in the world as well as the heaviest building in the world.
